Terms of Service
Last updated October 18, 2026. Plain-language summary first.
The short version
- You must be 18+ and allowed to use crypto apps where you live.
- Burnbook never holds your funds. You sign every transaction in your own wallet, and transactions can't be undone.
- Coins on Burnbook are memes. They have no promised value, nothing here is investment advice, and you can lose everything you put in.
- A coin named after an X handle is not made, endorsed or owned by that account unless its owner claims it.
- You're responsible for what you post. No harassment, threats, doxxing, illegal content, sexual content involving minors, or impersonation meant to deceive.
- Posts show a wallet, not your name, but wallets are public on-chain. You aren't fully anonymous.
- Handle owners can hide posts and we can take text down, but on-chain and IPFS data can't be deleted.
This summary helps you read the full text below; the full text is what applies. See also our Privacy Policy.
1.About these terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Burnbook (also called burnbookdotfun), the website at burnbook.fun and its related interfaces and APIs (together, the "Service"). "We" and "us" means the operators of Burnbook. By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use it.
The Service is an interface to smart contracts on the Solana blockchain. It lets anyone launch a coin for an X handle, trade it, and burn it to publish short anonymous posts about that handle.
2.Eligibility
- You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live if higher.
- You are responsible for making sure that using the Service, trading digital assets and publishing content is legal where you are. Don't use the Service if it isn't.
- You may not use the Service if you are subject to sanctions, or on behalf of anyone who is, or from a country or region where it is prohibited.
3.Non-custodial and self-directed
Burnbook is non-custodial. We never hold your funds, tokens or private keys, and we can't move them for you. You connect your own wallet and approve every transaction yourself. Keeping your wallet, keys and recovery phrase safe is your responsibility.
Everything you do on the Service is your own decision. We don't recommend, manage or execute trades on your behalf.
4.Coins are memes, not investments
- Coins launched on Burnbook are meme coins created for entertainment. They have no intrinsic value, no issuer obligations and no promise of any return or utility.
- Don't buy a coin expecting a profit. Prices are extremely volatile and are often driven by speculation and by other users, including early buyers. You can lose all of what you spend.
- Nothing on the Service (prices, charts, leaderboards, estimated shares, docs or posts) is investment, financial, legal or tax advice. Leaderboard payouts depend on other people's activity and are never guaranteed.
5.Transactions are irreversible
Blockchain transactions are final. Burned tokens are destroyed and can't be recovered. We can't reverse, refund or cancel a transaction, including one sent by mistake, at the wrong price or to the wrong coin. Network fees are set by Solana, not by us, and are not refundable.
6.Fees
- Launching a coin costs 0.1 SOL, paid to Burnbook operations.
- Publishing a post costs 0.02 SOL, paid to Burnbook operations, plus a burn of at least 50,000 tokens of the coin.
- Every trade pays a creator fee set by pump.fun. Burnbook's smart contract splits it: 10% to Burnbook operations, 10% to a burn reserve that can only buy and burn Burnbook's flagship coin, 40% to the handle's owner vault, and 40% to the coin's leaderboard pool. The deployer (whoever launched the coin) gets nothing from it.
- pump.fun and the Solana network charge their own fees. Fee amounts and splits are stored on-chain and may change; the current values are shown in the app and in the docs before you sign.
7.Handle coins and X accounts
Anyone can launch the coin for any public X handle. A handle coin is not created by, affiliated with, or endorsed by the person or organisation behind that X account, unless and until that account's owner claims it on Burnbook by proving control of the account. Even then, the owner is not responsible for posts other people write about them.
Unclaimed owner fees are used to buy back and burn the coin after a grace period, as described in the docs. Burnbook is not affiliated with X Corp.
8.Your content and conduct
You are solely responsible for the posts and coin descriptions you publish. You must not publish or use the Service for:
- harassment, bullying, or threats of violence against anyone;
- doxxing: sharing someone's private information, such as a home address, phone number, private documents or financial details;
- content that is illegal where you are or that infringes someone else's rights;
- any sexual content involving minors, under any circumstances;
- impersonation intended to deceive people about who is speaking;
- fraud, market manipulation, spam, or attacks on the Service, its smart contracts or other users.
Posts are labelled as confessions, rumors, secrets or gossip. They are opinions and claims by anonymous users, not statements of fact by Burnbook. Don't publish false statements of fact that could harm someone's reputation.
You keep any rights you have in your content. By publishing it you give us a worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, display, reproduce and distribute it as part of the Service, including on share cards and in public APIs.
9.Anonymity has limits
Burnbook shows a truncated wallet address instead of a name, and has no accounts. But your wallet address and every transaction it makes are public on the Solana blockchain, permanently. If your wallet can be linked to you (for example through an exchange, another app or your own posts), so can everything it posted. We may also be required to disclose information we hold (see the Privacy Policy) in response to valid legal process.
10.Moderation and takedowns
- There is no automated moderation. A handle's verified owner can hide or unhide any post on their handle and hide the coin description. Hidden text is removed from Burnbook's pages, share cards and APIs.
- We may remove post text or coin descriptions from the Service in response to legal requests or violations of these Terms, and we may restrict access to the Service.
- We can't delete anything recorded on-chain (transactions, burns, the post's hash and tag) or published to IPFS (coin metadata, including the description). These stay public and may still appear on other sites, such as pump.fun or block explorers.

11.Intellectual property
The Burnbook name, logo, design and software are ours or our licensors'. You may use the Service for its intended purpose, but you may not copy our branding to mislead people. X profile names, avatars and banners belong to their owners and are shown to identify the handle. If you believe content on the Service infringes your rights, contact us at [email protected]placeholder.
12.Third-party services
The Service depends on others that we don't control, including:
- the Solana blockchain and its validators and RPC providers;
- pump.fun and PumpSwap, which create and trade the coins, and Jupiter for swaps;
- public X profile and post data, fetched through third-party providers;
- wallets and wallet connectors (such as Reown/WalletConnect), IPFS and hosting.
Their own terms apply to your use of them. We aren't responsible for their availability, errors, fees or changes, including data about an X account being outdated or wrong.
13.Disclaimers
The Service and its smart contracts are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Smart contracts can contain bugs, and networks can halt, fork or congest. We don't warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure or error-free, or that any data shown (prices, balances, rankings, profile data) is accurate or current. Rules for digital assets may change and could affect the Service or your coins.
14.Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, tokens, funds, data or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service, even if we were told it was possible. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the fees you paid to Burnbook in the 3 months before the claim and US$100.
You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your content, your use of the Service, or your breach of these Terms. Some places don't allow some of these limits; there, they apply only as far as permitted.
15.Changes
We may update these Terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. Material changes will be announced on the Service. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the new Terms. We may change, suspend or stop any part of the Service at any time; smart contracts and on-chain assets keep working independently of this website.
